How to choose the right wedding flowers for you ??

Firstly Congratulations on your engagment, you must be super excited to be planning you big day. But as we all know wedding planning can become extremely stressful very quickly.

So thats why I have put a quick quide together to help you choose the right flowers for you.

Lets start from the beginning.

At this point you have probably already choosen which season you would like to have your special day. This can have an impact when choosing your weddnig flowers, especially if you are wanting a certain look to the wedding day.

For example :- One of the most popular weddings right now for 2023 -2024 is barn and outdoor weddings. One of the most popular venue dressing and bridal flowers for this style wedding is, dried florals and pampas grass. As it is on trend and matches the setting very well.

So once you have this in mind you can the double down on what style of flowers you would like.... don't get me wrong bride, some brides have known the exact bouquet they will have from been 7 years old, but for most this can be tricky.

I have listed a few different styles you can have and the benefits of these to help you choose.

Artificial Wedding Flowers

Artificial flowers can be seen as a very cheap and nasty way to celebrate your wedding day. But as a matter of fact that is far from the truth. Artificial flowers come in an array of colours, styles, and quality.

Quality been the main word, artificial flowers can look as realistic as fresh flowers. Making them one of the go to wedding choices after fresh flowers.

But what is the benefit of artificial flowers

Not only do they look realistic, but you can choose your favorite flower, when it is out of season. Artificial flower also give you the option of different colour tones to fresh flowers.

They last a lot longer than fresh flowers. The main reason most of my brides choose artificial is, because they can showcase their beautiful bouquet for years to come, in a vase or maybe a shelf dedicated to their wedding day.

You can have your bouquet made weeks or month sin advance, so there is no dissapointment on the wedding day, as any adjustments can be made with plenty of time to give. Taking the stress out fo your big day.

You can resell your wedding flowers after the special day, to help with the cost of the wedding.

Weather can be a big factor when it comes to fresh or dried flowers, if its to hot, the flowers may  start to wilt. and if its raining then you have no issues with soggy ruined bouquets.

Dried Wedding flowers

Dried wedding flowers have been on the rise for many years now, and don't seem to be slowing down either. I totally see why, the asethetic look of pampas and dried flowers, is super on trend right now, and can be adapted from country barn weddings to luxury ballrooms.

The BOHO bride is definitely here to stay, or at least for now anyway.

But why choose dried flowers

Dried flowers are on trend, and look stunning in any setting. They are classy and boho bride all at the same time.

You can create so many different styles of dried flowers, with an unlimited amount of colours and varieties.

They last for years, so If you are looking for something that will fit with the asethetic of your home interior aswell, then dried flowers are right up your street.

You can stay on trend with the neutral tones, or go bold and vibrant.

Pampas grass decorations can also be used in the home afterwards.

Again if you would like to resell after the wedding then they will definitely sell to a second hand market.

Fresh Wedding Flowers

Fresh wedding flowers will always be the classic timeless bridal look, you cannot get any more realistic than fresh flowers.

They have been made locally, so normally you will hve made that face to face connection with the florist.

I really hope this blog helped you choose or at least think more about your wedding flowers.
